On Monday 5th October, as part of their land based skills ASDAN coursework, a group of our Sixth-formers visited Dobbies Garden Centre in Speke, with Mr Blackmore and Mrs Cusack. Angela, the Educational links co-ordinator, made everyone very welcome. They were given a guided tour, looked at all the plants, learned about the life-cycle of a broad bean, and planted their own beans which they brought back to school. Dobbies were very generous, giving each student a goody bag containing seeds and Mrs Cusack was delighted to receive another bag full of flower and vegetable seeds which will provide a lot of fun and learning opportunities throughout the coming year. As always our pupils’ good behaviour was complimented.
We would like to say a big Thank-you to everyone at Dobbies.
