Aigburth High School is supporting Safer Internet Day 2015 – “Let’s create a better internet together”.
Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre in February of each year to promote the safe and responsible use of online technology and mobile phones for children and young people.
To celebrate the day, Aigburth High School is taking part by designing posters, role playing scenarios and solutions, making a pledge, joining an assembly, expressing concerns and solutions, and learning how to help others?.
Mr Robert Blackmore, Head of Technology at Aigburth High School said “Young people need to understand the moral issues associated with being a digital citizen. Our digital footprints and our digital reputations follow us forever. The concept of forever is difficult to understand for many of our learners, this is why education and learning to operate in a digital world is of paramount importance.”
