LightNight is Liverpool’s free one-night arts and culture festival, taking place this Friday 19th May.
It’s an event the whole family can enjoy. There’s everything from large-scale light projections and live music to workshops and spoken word, art, crafts and theatre, street performance, walking tours, dancing and late-opening exhibitions, with over 100 free events. and activities for all ages, from 5pm until late.
Also Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum & the Walker Art Gallery are open until 10pm, with lots of free events.
The theme for this year’s festival is ‘time’; the past, present and future, memory and the world we live in, as well as the influence of time on art, philosophy and scientific discovery.
