Sixth Form’s Trip to Liverpool Hope University

Liverpool Hope University logoOn Wednesday 21st September 2016, Childwall Abbey School (C.A.S.) Sixth Form went to Liverpool Hope University for a tour around the campus and an introduction to University life. This was an exciting first for our school! We were welcomed by lecturers and students from the University and given a guided tour of the beautiful campus grounds. We asked questions about University life and the different courses which are on offer at Hope. The student volunteers from Hope University also gave talks about their own experiences.
The trip was a great success and our students were complimented on their mature behaviour, sensible questions and beautiful manners. It has given food for thought to everyone. Some of our students may aim to take up courses at Hope in the future.

C.A.S. has now established a working partnership with the University and our Sixth Former’s will be returning in the not too distant future, for an Open Day, to see the courses in practice.

We thank Hope University for making us so welcome and are proud that we will be returning the favour, when we host some of their student teachers in our school, over the coming year.
