Dragons Den Champions 2018

Congratulations to Year 10 pupils, Lucy, Aimee and Louise who entered the “Dragons Den” Maths competition and won first prize! Last year our Year 10 pupil’s came first in the special school category; however, this year we were the only special school to enter the competition. Therefore, Mr Watkins entered the girls as a mainstream school against 30 other schools across the city.

After designing a fantastic Maths invention and producing an outstanding pitch to the Dragons, they were voted overall winners for Liverpool by unanimous decision. Lucy, Aimee and Louise were presented with a £1,000 cheque, which will be put together with last year’s prize of £500 to purchase Maths resources with a focus on “Enjoyment in Maths”. Our champions will attend a school council meeting with Mrs Piercy and discuss the best way of spending the prize money to improve Maths at C.A.S.
